The challenge

The Weekly Image Challenge is a recurring open-prompt competition inside the AI Video Bootcamp Skool community. Daniel Riley posts one question each week - this time, simply share your favourite or best image from the past 7 days - and selects 10 personal favourites. Each winner receives free lifetime access to the community.

Because the prompt is unrestricted, this archive functions as a snapshot of what 22,000+ AI image creators were exploring on May 20, 2026: fine-art black-and-white portraiture, photoreal desert and golden-hour scenes, cinematic action wildlife, Pixar-style character work, surreal painterly compositions, and streetwear editorials all sit side by side.

How it ran

Members dropped one image per person in the comments. Daniel curated 10 winners by personal pick rather than community vote. This page presents those 10 winners alongside 29 of the strongest non-winning entries - 39 images in total. Click any creator name to follow them on Skool.

What stood out

The standout submissions this week leaned heavily on classical composition language - thoughtful negative space, single light source, rich tonal contrast. Cristina Antonova’s dove-across-the-face study and Vlad Adham’s burning-house portrait both lean into surreal symbolism. Gerard Bote’s jaguar-versus-crocodile river action shot is a textbook National Geographic moment that fools the eye. And Pixar-style character work continues to score well, with Laura Mohiuddin’s bumblebee-with-flower-crown drawing huge engagement.

A note on the open-prompt format

This challenge has no theme. The 39 images on this page span streetwear editorials, b&w fine-art portraits, photoreal animal action, painterly surrealism, sports broadcast mockups, and luxury product satire. Treat this archive as a cross-section of where AI image creation sits in May 2026 inside a community of 22,000-plus working creators.
